Sampling Katy Perry’s Non-Alcoholic Aperitifs

Katy Perry's aperitif

This sounds like something that should've been done for Dry January. Now it's March. However, it is also lent. Some people give up booze during this season. That's how I found myself sampling Katy Perry's Non-Alcoholic Aperitifs this week. Well that, and it's also Women's History Month so the pop star has put together a cool gift package featuring her beverage line and snacks from other female entrepreneurs. More on that in a minute.

A sample pack of Katy Perry's non-alcoholic aperitifs arrived in my studio this week.

Perry came out with Dei Soi about a year ago. She teamed up with Morgan McLachlan who is co-founder of AMASS botanical beverages. The idea was to create a better for you beverage with natural ingredients, that provides the vibe or spirit that having a cocktail with friends gives.  I've tried a lot of non-alcoholic wines and beverages and most are a waste of calories in my opinion. They just don't taste good. But taste is subjective.

How does it taste

I was sent a variety pack of De Soi to sample this week. Last night I popped some tops. The Golden Hour is super refreshing with lemon zest and maybe a touch of ginger. I would for sure try it again. There are 50 calories per can. I also tried Champignon Dreams. The dark color threw me for a minute. Derived from green tea and reishi mushrooms It does have a more savory taste but gets a lift from passion flower. Juicy and a nice surprise.

The samples were sent to promote a limited edition Happier Hour box that is full of women owned snacks. The boxes are in honor of Women's History Month. In addition to a 4-pack of De Soi, they have things such as Partake Chocolate Chip Cookies, Toodaloo "Slow Your Roll" Carolyn's Krisps and more. You can still get them at Foxtrot Anywhere. The boxes start at $44.95. They are great gifts for friends, or for yourself. Two thumbs up.
