Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs: It's Time To Break It All Down.  We are now just 5 days away from Super Bowl 57 in Arizona.  Lets get to all the "X's and O's" for the upcoming game.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been the best team in terms of getting to the quarterback this season, as they lead the league in pass rush win rate, sack rate, and are 5th in pressure percentage. However, they will face a challenging test in the upcoming Super Bowl.  The Kansas City Chiefs,  lead the league in pass block win rate.

The Philadelphia Eagles are two sacks away from achieving a significant feat in NFL history, as they will become the third team to have 80 sacks in a season since the official tracking of team sacks began in 1963.

The Kansas City Chiefs have been outstanding in protecting their quarterback this season, posting the highest pass block win rate and having the second-lowest rate of sacks allowed in the league. Additionally, Patrick Mahomes had the lowest sack rate (11.2%) under pressure in the NFL this season, including the playoffs.

After their last Super Bowl appearance, the Kansas City Chiefs reconstructed their offensive line, which was evident in their improved performance this season. In their Super Bowl loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Patrick Mahomes faced a Super Bowl-record high of 29 pressures. However, in their Super Bowl win against the San Francisco 49ers, he faced only 20 pressures, highlighting the improvements made in their offensive line.

Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs is a versatile player who can line up in different positions and produce results from any of them. This season, he became the only player in the NFL to record at least 25 receptions from each of the tight end, wide receiver, and slot positions, showing his versatility and ability to contribute to the team in various ways.

STEP 1: MAN UP
Kelce had a near identical number of targets against man and zone defense this season. He produced a much higher level against zone.  While Kelce’s efficiency dipped against man, Patrick Mahomes’ didn’t. He had the 2nd-best Total QBR against man coverage this season.

STEP 2: AVOID THE MISMATCH
One of the reasons man coverage helps limit Kelce to an extent is that the defense can better choose the matchups. Kelce against a linebacker is not ideal for defenses.

STEP 3: TACKLE
Kelce was 3rd overall and 1st among tight ends in yards after the catch this season (643). His 3 worst games in terms of YAC per reception this season were also the only 3 games he failed to gain 50 Rec yards.

STEP 4: GET LUCKY?
If all else fails, Kelce may be the only person who can slow Kelce. He had 4 games this season where he failed to catch at least 60% of his targets. He had 6 drops in those 4 games (1 drop in 15 other games).
