Andy Reid vs the Eagles
Andy Reid will become the second coach to serve as head coach for and against the same franchise in the Big Game, joining Dan Reeves. He will also be the 5th head coach to face a former team in the Super Bowl.
Reid is undefeated against the Eagles with a 3-0 record since joining the Chiefs, including a win against them in Week 4 of last season. He has a 9-0 record against the Browns and has never lost to them, making them one of three teams he has a perfect record against. Reid has brought postseason success to both franchises. He’s the only head coach in history to win at least 10 playoff games with 2 different franchises.
Mahomes-Hurts Super Bowl will be the first Super Bowl between two black quarterbacks
Super Bowl LVII will be the first between Black starting QBs in NFL history. Patrick Mahomes will start his third and Jalen Hurts will be the 8th different Black QB to start a SB.

Mahomes is likely to win the MVP award for the 2022 season, making him one of three black quarterbacks to win the award in the past 7 years. The others being Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson. Prior to this recent trend, only Steve McNair had won the award as a black quarterback. McNair shared that award with Peyton Manning in 2003, in the first 58 seasons of the MVP award.
Mahomes vs Hurts will be the youngest Super Bowl quarterback matchup in history
Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts will be a combined 51 years old, surpassing Joe Montana vs Dan Marino as the youngest SB QB matchup ever. And I'm not done!

REMEMBER SUPER BOWL XXV ? THE BEGINNING OF THE BILLS DOWNFALL.
Remember Super Bowl XXV ? It took place on this day, January 27, 1991 between the Giants and the Bills.
The Bills roster was loaded with future Hall of Famers, including Jim Kelly, James Lofton, Andre Reed, Bruce Smith and Thurman Thomas. Coach Marv Levy, GM Bill Polian and owner Ralph Wilson are also in the Hall.
The Giants were a great organization as owner Wellington Mara, GM George Young and coach Bill Parcells are in the Hall. As far as the roster goes, only Lawrence Taylor represents the players in Canton.
Even the National Anthem was spectacular at a time when the country was feeling very patriotic (see why in quiz)! And, of course, the game went down to the wire in exciting fashion.
Who knows what kind of game we will get this year but the Conference Championships look promising. The KC Chiefs are one point favorites at home and the Philadelphia Eagles are two and a half point favorites at home. We'll see if they both make it to big game.
