It's the most anticipated game since Grand Theft Auto V. Grand Theft Auto 6 is promising to be a monster of a game. Whenever it comes out. And if you believe the leaks, Fort Myers may be a part of the game map.
Depending on which rumor you choose to believe, Grand Theft Auto 6 is due out either in 2024 or maybe the early part of 2025. However, back in September of last year, we got a big look inside the progress. According to IGN, "On Sunday, September 18, a massive and unprecedented leak hit one of the most anticipated games of the decade. Dozens of video files related to Grand Theft Auto 6 began appearing on fan forum GTAForums"
Within the leaked footage, it became clear that it looks like Grand Theft Auto 6 makes its return to Vice City. That's right, Miami. And much, much, more. Although the leaked footage has been scrubbed from the internet, people (Reddit, mostly) have been able to create what might be the map of GTA6. And it's pretty clearly the entire tip of Florida. Including us here in Southwest Florida.
Because I'm not looking to get sued for hosting what might be stolen images on this site, I'll let Elon take the fall. Here's the link to the map on Twitter.
Let's keep in mind this is all speculation at this point.
Until the game comes out we don't really know if this is real or not. But if it is - I am on this game on day 1. Vice City on the bottom right clearly represents Miami. So going to the left across I75 would bring you to Fort Myers and Naples. The bridge should signify crossing the Caloosahatchee and into I'm guessing Cape Coral or Port Charlotte. So it's possible some landmarks from our area might make it into one of the biggest video game franchises ever.
How amazing would it be to be running the streets of Fort Myers in GTA 6? Hopefully omgitswicks would be off to the side recording it on his flip phone. Love that guy. And there's a city above what appears to be Lake O. Does that mean Orlando? Disney World?
If this map holds true, you'll never again have to struggle explaining to someone where Fort Myers is.
If my house is in this game I will lost my ****.

Maybe not the monkey part, but the trip to Costa Rica for sure.
