If you're a fan of sweet treats, get excited because Girl Scout cookie season is here in Florida and this year there's a new flavor.
Girl Scout cookies are more than just a delicious treat. They're a symbol of the hard work and determination of young girls everywhere. Every year, Girl Scouts across the country sell these delectable cookies as a way to raise money for their troops and local communities. But what makes these cookies so special?
First and foremost, the variety of flavors is impressive. From classic Thin Mints to my personal favorite, the Samoas, to newer options like S'mores and Lemon-Ups, there's a flavor for everyone. Each cookie is made with care and attention to detail, ensuring that every bite is as satisfying as the last.
In addition to the delicious taste, Girl Scout cookies are also a great way to support young girls and their communities. The money raised from cookie sales helps fund various programs and activities for Girl Scouts.
When will Girl Scout cookies go on sale?
Girl Scout cookies have become a cultural phenomenon. Many people look forward to the annual cookie season and the chance to stock up on their favorite flavors. This year cookies will be sold from Jan. 16 to March 12. And there's a brand new flavor for 2023: Raspberry Rally. The new Raspberry Rally is described as "a thin, crispy cookie infused with raspberry flavor and dipped in chocolate coating." The catch with this new flavor is that will be ONLY be available via online orders from Feb. 27 to March 5.
You may wonder with the price of everything going up if that means Girl Scout cookies will too. A box of Girl Scout cookies costs $5. The only two flavors that are more, at $6, the toffee-tastic and Girl Scout s'mores. You can use the cookie finder tool to find a location near you.
Not only do they taste good, but your purchase helps a good cause. So, next time you see a Girl Scout selling cookies, don't hesitate to buy a box or two..or ten.
