Smokin' Oyster Brewery Food Truck Coming Soon In Aftermath Of Ian

Like most restaurants and shops on Ft. Myers Beach, Smokin' Oyster Brewery was lost in the devastation left behind by Hurricane Ian.  But, the owners  are not letting Ian stop them.

Chef Reid, a familiar name to those who frequent Smokin' Oyster Brewery, also known as SOB, is taking the delicious food we all know and love to the streets.  The SOB Food Truck will soon be hitting the roads.

SOB recently announced via social media that they've purchased a food truck and will be serving southwest Florida once again.  In a Facebook post made yesterday (Sunday, October 23, 2022), SOB made this ever so exciting statement about a Smokin' Oyster Brewery Food Truck:

Wheels up in just a couple weeks! The SOB Truck and Reid will be servicing all of SWFL.
We can’t wait to unveil the newly wrapped truck.
The SOB Truck will be serving Southwest Florida with SOB favorites and specials from Chef Reid & the Smokin Oyster Brewery menu.

We recently posted about local restaurant Buckett's Wings and More hosting benefit nights for the employees of the restaurants lost during Ian.  This past Saturday night, Smokin' Oyster Brewery had their turn.  The 50/50 raffle raised $5340 and the silent auction raised another $6483.  In addition, they'll also receive 10% of Buckett's sales for Saturday, October 22nd.

Bucketts Wings & More Hosting Benefit Nights For SWFL Restaurants

Bucketts Wings & More Hosting Benefit Nights For Employees Of Ft. Myers Beach Restaurants

Ft. Myers Beach and Sanibel Island suffered mass destruction when Hurricane Ian rolled through the tiny island towns on September 28th.

With him, he not only took down the shops, stores, restaurants and homes of those on Ft. Myers Beach and Sanibel, he also took their livelihood.  So many of Southwest Florida's favorite restaurants were wiped out, leaving the employees with nowhere to turn for income.

Bucketts Wings & More in Ft. Myers wants to help, so they're hosting staff benefit nights in the coming weeks.  10% of the days proceeds will go directly to the employees of that day's featured restaurant.  To date they've already hosted days for Gramma Dot's of Sanibel and Mantanzas on The Bay of Ft. Myers Beach.

If you know of a restaurant that was effected by Hurricane Ian, and could benefit from one of these nights, get them on the calendar.  According to a Facebook post from Bucketts Wings & More, they will be doing this for as long as it takes.  Reach out to Ainslie Walter at (408) 799-1391 to coordinate.
