Sports Betting May Become Legal In Florida
A “historic agreement” has been made between the Seminole Tribe of Florida and Governor Ron Desantis.
The proposal will allow legal sports betting in the state of Florida.
More than half of the United States has some form of legal sports betting.
This will also add $500 million to Florida’s annual budget.
The proposal will now have to be approved by the legislature next week.
“The Seminole Tribe of Florida is committed to a mutually beneficial gaming compact with the State of Florida and looks forward to its approval by the Florida Legislature, the Seminole Tribal Council, and the U.S. Department of the Interior,” the Seminole Tribe of Florida Chairman Marcellus Osceola Jr. said.
