It’s safe to say that the internet sometimes lets things get blown WAY out of proportion.
The latest example happened this week when a one-word tweet convinced Bears fans that a Russell Wilson trade was imminent.
On Wednesday, NFL reporter Josina Anderson tweeted “Welp…” That’s it, just “Welp….”.
Somehow, that was all Bears Nation needed to whip themselves into a frenzy that Wilson was Chicago-bound.
Twitter exploded, and the chatter even had an impact on Vegas – where betting odds for Wilson’s future team were temporarily taken down while the Bears’ Super Bowl odds were increased.
However, sometimes a ‘Welp’ is just a ‘Welp’: Wilson remains a Seattle Seahawk – for now, at least.
Welp...

Since we have no context for this ominous tweet, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Russ 2 Chicago. https://t.co/hT1qyqY2Tq
