The Cleveland Cavaliers are getting some needed help at guard.

The Cavs are signing veteran guard Quinn Cook to a 10-day deal.

Cook has been a backup guard on two titles teams: the 2018 Golden State Warriors and the 2020 L.A. Lakers.

He was waived by the Lakers in February.

NBA insiders say he can come in and play so Collin Sexton and Darius Garland aren't playing such heavy minutes in every game.

Cook is expected to be available Friday when the Cavs kick off the second half of the season against the New Orleans Pelicans.
