Election Day 2020: Live Southwest Florida Election Results
According to 'Time,' "Janet Boudreau, who used to run the election-supply company Intab, designed a version with an American flag blowing in the wind in 1987. She was shocked by how many people didn’t realize it was Election Day, and wanted to do something to help."

Lee County
- Sheriff Carmine Marceno will remain the sheriff of Lee County. This is his first victory, having been appointed previously by Sen. Rick Scott when he was governor of Florida.
- Kevin Anderson wins the Fort Myers mayoral race over Jaquelyn McMiller.
- Johnny Streets, Liston Bochette and Darla Betzer Bonk, win Fort Myers city council election.
- Chris Patricia keeps Lee County School Board District 3 seat.
- Melisa Giovannelli has won District-2 seat on the Lee County School Board.
- Tom Hayden won the District 3 seat of the Cape Coral City Council.
- Robert Welsh won the District 5 seat of the Cape Coral City Council.
- Jessica Cosden won the District 7 seat of the Cape Coral City Council.
Collier County
- Rick Steinmeyer becomes new Bonita Springs Mayor, according to the Collier County Elections Office. Steinmeyer has been part of the Bonita Springs community for about 40 years. He previously ran for District 3 election back in 2018 but was defeated by Councilor Laura Carr.
- Marco Island residents elected Becky Irwin, City Council Vice Chair Jared Grifoni, Joseph Rola and Richard Blonna as council members, according to preliminary results.
- Republican Rick LoCastro has won the District 1 seat on the Collier Board of County Commissioners.
- Republican William L. McDaniel Jr. won the District 5 seat of the Collier Board of County Commissioners.
Charlotte County
- Bill Prummell will remain sheriff of Charlotte County.
U.S. Congress District 19
- Republican state Rep. Byron Donalds has been elected to the District-19 Congressional seat, which is now held by Florida Republican Francis Rooney.
U.S. Congress District 17
- Republican state Rep. Greg Steube has been elected to represent Florida’s 17th Congressional District. He assumed office on January 3, 2019.
