GALLERY: Realistic Halloween Decor Prompts Multiple 911 Calls From Neighbors

An East Dallas man was especially creative with his Halloween decorations this year. So creative in fact, that multiple emergency calls have been made to the police department about his house.

When you drive past local artist Steven Novak's home, you'll see quite the horror show. One dummy lies with his head pulverized, one lies with a scale where his or her head used to be, and a few more lie in bloodied trash bags fallen off a wheelbarrow. You'll also see a zombie horde attempting to break out of a window.

“I’m most proud of the wheelbarrow tipped over by the street full of Hefty bags, looking like a failed attempt to dispose of the dismembered bodies in the middle of the night,” Novak told the Dallas Observer. “A kid walked by and asked me what happened to them; I said they ate too many Skittles.”

Novak says he's been home twice when the cops have come knocking, but neighbors have told him they've seen cop cars in front of his house a lot during the day.

"They told me they thought it was cool and that they were only there because they were required to reply to complaints from the sergeant,” he said.
