Lee County Deputy Accused of Killing Son Has Been Arrested
A Lee County deputy accused of killing his son is facing manslaughter charges, according to NBC2.
Lee County Deputy Sergio Perez was off duty when he stopped by his elderly mother’s Cape Coral home in August 2019, according to officials. Sergio Perez reportedly got into an altercation with his son, Ramon Perez, who was found dead at the scene by the time police arrived.
It’s unclear how Ramon was killed.
Sergio Perez turned himself in at the Lee County Jail on Wednesday and is being held on a $75,000 bond.
