Bon Jovi News: Chicago Fans’ ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ Sing-a-Long, JBJ Asks For Help with Coronavirus Song
Bon Jovi fans in Chicago took it upon themselves to organize a mass sing-a-long to "Livin' On A Prayer" during their "stay at home" order from Illinois's governor.
The #ChicagoSingAlong was organized by residents of the city's Rogers Park neighborhood and can be seen below in the video taken by Colin Boyle of Colin Boyle Photography for Block Club Chicago's YouTube page. More videos can be found using the #ChicagoSingAlong hashtag.
Jon Bon Jovi even lent his support in an Instagram post where he said, "Hey Chicago, I heard that you guys are about to open up your windows and scream and shout to 'Livin' on a Prayer.' I want you to know that I'm just warming up getting ready to sing along with you. In these trying times, I am with you with all of my heart and my soul, sending my love to everybody in Chicago and across America. Sing it out, baby. We're all going to come through this together. Be strong, I love you."
On top of the fan sing-a-long, JBJ himself was busy coming up with a new song called "Do What You Can," but he's asking fans for help.
"These are uneasy times we’re dealing with, but we’re all in this together. I wrote the first verse and the chorus. Write me a verse. Let’s tell your story," said Bon Jovi. Fans can listen to the song below and share their lyrics via social media along with the hashtag. #DoWhatYouCan.
