Idris Elba Tests Positive For Coronavirus: ‘I Have No Symptoms’

Actor Idris Elba is now added to the growing list of celebrities who have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

He now joins Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Olga Kurylenko, as the Hollywood Reporter reports.

"This morning I tested positive for Covid 19," Elba tweeted. "I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic."

Over the weekend, Universal Music chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge was hospitalized and received treatment for the coronavirus. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, is also among the list of notable figures who have tested positive for coronavirus.

There are nearly 170,000 people who the global outbreak of the coronavirus has affected. Thus far, the virus has left 6,500 dead, while thousands of new cases arise each day. The United States' death toll from COVID-19 has climbed to 64, while infections passed 3,700.
