Nashville has been recovering from last night's tornado, which claimed 22 lives (according to ABC News). There are a number of volunteering opportunities to help out the victims of the tornado if you're in Nashville. But if you're not in, or near, Music City, here are some ways you can contribute.

The tornado has caused power outages, road closures and made rescues necessary; The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee has activated the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund to support the affected communities and nonprofits helping victims address their ongoing needs. According to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, "Grants from the Fund will be made to nonprofits providing vital services both immediate and long term. Our work helps free nonprofits up to concentrate on delivering vital services while we 'connect generosity with need' and our community sets out to rebuild lives." You can donate money here.

The United Way is also taking donations here, or you can text RELIEF2020 to 41444 to donate. You can also donate to the Red Cross of Tennessee here,  or call 1-800-RED CROSS, or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
