While the exact parade route will be unveiled on Tuesday, city officials say that a rally will take place outside Union Station at 1:30 pm CT.
Perhaps figuring that there would be lots of absences anyway, school superintendent Dale Herl tweeted that students in the Independence district have the day off.
KC last held a championship parade following the Royals World Series win. An estimated 800,000 people attended the 2015 event, notes ESPN.
