BREAKING: The Pelicans have agreed to deal to trade Anthony Davis

This is sure to be where the most people will have issues with this list. The Lakers gave up a ton to acquire AD, but as of now they have LeBron James, Kyle Kuzma, Anthony Davis and the salary cap space to go out and sign Kawhi Leonard. Even if the Lakers don’t get Kawhi, they have the cap room to fill out their roster and compete for the NBA Title. Anthony Davis is 26, so we are yet to see him at his prime. This was a great move by Rob Pelinka and the Lakers brass.

The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for a massive young haul of players.

ESPN's Andrian Wojnarowski reports that the New Orleans will send to Los Angel in exchange for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart; including three first-round and fourth overall picks next week.

The deal must be consummated after June 30th.

According to sources, Davis has contemplated signing a new contract with the Lakers once he becomes eligible for free agency in 2020. Davis requested a trade to L.A. in January, joining Lebron James in Los Angeles to create one of the most powerful duos in the NBA.
