Ortiz Update: Suspect In Custody, Shooting Caught On Video
Here’s the latest on what we know about the shooting attack on former Red Sox star David Ortiz in the Dominican Republic.
Police have one suspect in custody and are searching for another. Both men approached the scene on a motorcycle and tried to drive away after Ortiz was shot, but fled on foot after the bike fell over.
One suspect, Eddy Vladimir Feliz Garcia, was subdued by a crowd of people who “beat the hell out of him”, according to TMZ Sports.
Ortiz is currently listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery. His assistant says he suffered damage to “multiple internal organs”
