James Harden Ties Kobe Streak The Rockets may have lost to the Magic 116-109 on Sunday night, but at least James Harden had a reason to celebrate.

The reigning NBA MVP just matched a record set by superstar Kobe Bryant in 2003. Putting up 38 points in the contest, Harden has now gone 16 consecutive games scoring at least 30. That streak now ties Bryant for the most since the league merged with the ABA in the 1976-77 season.

Harden has the chance at owning the record if he can add at least 30 when Houston faces Memphis on Monday night, assuming he's in the lineup.

Are these records ultimately important? Where would you put Harden on the list of NBA greats?
